18 month check up and more...

Gaven had his 18 month check up yesterday...He is 28lbs and 34 inches tall. He is right in line with where he should be.
We also had everything check out from our ER visit Friday night. Gaven spiked a fever of 104.4 by the time we got him to the ER. That is when they found an ear infection. Yesterday Dr. Van Beek said he has a virus infection. Nothing they can give him just something his immune system needs to cycle out of his system. Dr. said his ears both looked good and the ear infection found by the ER was just a side effect of the virus. He said to keep Gaven on the Amoxicillin until the weekend just be sure the ear infection stays away.
Gaven is getting better, no fever since Saturday. He now has a rash on his chest, tummy and back, this is due to the reaction of the virus infection to the Amoxicillin. It is not harmful in away or an allergic reaction. Just how the virus reacts to the medicine. This should all cycle out of his system in 3-5 days.

We have Christmas with Rick's side this weekend....So Gaven should be brand new by then!
