A fun filled weekend all over.....with Surprises too!!

Rick and I made plans to visit Gabe and Michelle this weekend. We planned to go as a family so Gaven could see his Auntie Micha and Uncle Paco. Instead it turned out our new van needed to go back to the dealer for some issues (URG), work came up in town for Don with Griffin so Rick planned to take care of that; Michelle, Jenny, and I planned to go to the big baby rummage at Greendale high school where I found out no kids under a certain age are allowed and finally Gabe was in Texas not due home until Saturday afternoon. So...Cathy offered to take Gaven for the weekend, so Rick could do the electrical job in town and I could help Michelle look for stuff at the rummage. With the hectic schedule we thought that would be best. "Thanks Mamow!"
Us girls went to the rummage, Rick took care of the van, and then of course could not get a hold of the homeowner to take care of the electrical job. URG! The whole reason Gaven stayed with Mamow and Papa. So to make good use of time he surprised Michelle and Gabe with 2 new ceiling fans. One in the soon to be baby's room and one in their room. The rummage was good Michelle got started on some baby shopping and I happened to find some items for Gaven. Then us girls went to MATC in Oak Creek for the Empty Bowl Event, we met Aunt Mo and Michelle's mom MaryAnn there too. It was a nice time, we all got nice bowls and the soup was amazing. We'll be going next year for sure. Gabe's flight got in at 1:50 so Michelle and I picked him up from the airport, where his luggage got damaged on the coveyer belt. The airline claims they will replace the bag. Saturday night we went to Cedarburg for German Fest. We had a nice weekend....and then came home early Sunday to have the whole day with Gaven.
