For some Valentine's came early.....

Gaven and I had a weekend of fun!! Dad worked on the basement all day Saturday and part of Sunday so Gaven and I did some fun projects for Valentine's day.....we baked and frosted pink cookies which Gaven got to use his new sprinkles we bought that morning....we did some shopping....and made some birdseed Valentine's. We had to share our Valentine's early so they could get hung up outside.

I found a fun project involving bird seed and cardboard hearts. You cut out your hearts from the cardboard,punch a hole in the heart for your ribbon, and then get your tray with the bird seed ready...

Then you coat your hearts with crisco and cover and pack them with the bird seed.
AND....WA-LA.....you have a bird seed Valentine...
So...We took one next door for Mr. Mike and Mrs. Karen on Saturday along with some pink frosted cookies (no pictures of those oops, lol). So Mr. Mike and Gaven hung it up together by the pond in their back yard.

And Mamow and Papa got theirs on Monday....Mamow said they watched 5 birds have a little Valentine snack yesterday...

p.s.-there is a special birthday this month so another bird seed project in underway!!!
