IT'S POTTY TIME!!!

So...potty training starting while I was on vacation a couple weeks ago. Now keep in mind from time to time this past year we have had him on the potty or Mamow has and he has peed, which is good.   But on May 15th that was it....it was on.  Day 1- WOW!  by 7:30am he was in his big boy underwear that he got from grandma and outside we went...I asked him over and over if he had to go and by the end of the day we had no accidents and 5 pees on the potty!!  YEAH!!  Day 2 and each day after went the opposite way...which is okay you mustard it all up to good days and bad days and well he is learning.  So to back up quick Tuesday morning before we got out of the diaper he pooped...(Phew!) no mess in these undies LOL.   By Saturday that week he did have a few more good times peeing on the potty but still no poop, in fact no poop at all.   We had a very constipated, very in pain little guy.  So after talking to an Urgent Care Dr. and a couple of nurses we tried a suppository and nope nothing...Then I went to Wal-Mart and found a kids laxative....Sunday came he was cleaned out.  So then we start week 2....and by Wednesday had to go with more laxative...but now the success of this was he is a super champ at peeing on the potty which is awesome.   Figured we need to get him pooping on his own again before we give poopin' a whirl on the potty again. Now here we are to this week and we all can say YES Gaven is potty trained with peeing on the potty....WOO-HOO!!!  Super exciting....So, Mamow thought to give it a try on the pooping again yesterday and let's just say I got the best call at work from Gaven....He pooped on the potty for the first time....it's was the best call and certainly made my day to hear his little excitement. "Mamma, I pooped on the potty all by myself...there was a big one and a small one" LOL I loved it.
In fact Mamow did report he pooped TWICE on the potty yesterday.

Oh he is certainly a BIG BOY now!!!   We are so proud of him...and super cute how proud of himself he is.  I see a clearer path on the road to (well day time) potty training....super awesome....which means a good chance for preschool this fall which is even more awesome.

So as weird as this picture may be to some....it's a proud mom and Mamow too that we have a picture of Gaven with his first poo on the potty that he did all by himself....GOOD JOB LITTLE MAN!!
